Because rapid cycling kills cheap glass. You need something that can handle the thermal shock without bowing or cracking.&#xA;And it&amp;rsquo;s not just about the glass. We obsess over where the filament sits. If it&amp;rsquo;s even slightly off-center, you get &amp;ldquo;hot spots.&amp;rdquo; On delicate synthetics, those hot spots are basically burn marks. Our goal is a smooth, even glow across the board.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;Real-world shop floor talk&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;We didn&amp;rsquo;t want you to have to spend your weekend re-drilling mounting brackets. These are designed as drop-in replacements for most standard stenters and drying ovens. They just fit.&#xA;One thing to keep in mind, though. Short-wave lamps are fast. They&amp;rsquo;re incredibly fast. But that intensity puts a lot of stress on the quartz.&#xA;Also, keep an eye on your reflectors. If your gold or aluminum surfaces get pitted or dusty, you&amp;rsquo;re basically throwing away 30% of your energy. Keep them clean. It&amp;rsquo;s a simple step, but it makes a massive difference in how far that heat actually throws.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
